Most AI tools make you dumber. They do the thinking so you don't have to, and then one day you can't. I build the other kind. Tools that keep humans in the loop, that sharpen judgment instead of replacing it, that leave you better than they found you. Sometimes that's AI for teachers. Sometimes it's finding the perfect driving road. Sometimes it's figuring out what happens when a human writes the words and a machine sings them. Trivial Pursuits is the studio where I chase these questions.

Let's build the future together.

Autobiographer.io

autobiographer.io

Job hunting is dehumanizing. You spend hours on an application, it disappears into an ATS black hole, and you never hear back. Repeat 50+ times. It breaks you.

Most job tools optimize for volume—spray and pray. That just feeds the machine. More low-effort applications, more automated screening, a bigger black hole. You're not making thoughtful decisions; you're perpetuating the cycle.

Autobiographer optimizes for clarity. It shows you what a role actually is before you invest hours pursuing it. It forces the question: would this make you happy? There's something empowering about choosing not to apply because you realized it wasn't right, versus never hearing back and wondering what went wrong.

Tailored resumes, cover letters in your voice, company culture research, interview prep. Beta users cut their time per application from 30+ minutes to under 15—and surfaced insights they wouldn't have found on their own.

Fewer applications, but ones you believe in. Better for you. Better for hiring teams drowning in noise.

Little Explorer

littleexplorer.fly.dev

An app I built for my 5 year old daughter to encourage engaging with the physical world during her travels.

Kids are naturally curious explorers, but screens often pull them away from the world around them. Little Explorer flips that dynamic, using technology to push children toward their environment rather than away from it.

The app generates location-aware scavenger hunts, nature challenges, and discovery prompts that turn any trip into an adventure. Instead of asking "are we there yet?", she's looking for specific birds, counting bridge arches, or finding shapes in clouds.

Built with the belief that the best use of AI for children isn't entertainment or education in the traditional sense, but instilling curiosity as a habit through moments of genuine wonder.

Chalk.my

chalk.my

AI-powered lesson planning, assignment creation, and grading for K-12 teachers.

The teacher stays in the driver's seat. Chalk is a collaborator, not a replacement. When you "Chalk my lesson" or "Chalk my assignment," you're instructing an AI partner that facilitates flow and engagement with the pedagogical process, rather than short-circuiting the human's involvement.

For grading, it tries to learn the teacher's patterns and voice, so it can adapt to how each teacher thinks about assessment rather than imposing a one-size-fits-all approach.

The core philosophy: AI superpowers for humans doing hard, important, and often undercompensated work. Brain atrophy from AI thinking-substitution is real. We need to amplify superstar human teachers who can change kids' lives, not turn them into button-clickers who can't function without AI assistance.

RevMatch.co

revmatch.co

A curated fleet of driver's cars. Machines that dance on demand.

Everything in the fleet is chosen for one simple reason: it delivers that rare, connected feeling where the road becomes the medium for conversation between human and machine.

RevMatch began with a trio of manual mid-engine Porsches (718 Cayman GTS, 981 Boxster GTS, 981 Cayman) and evolved into a broader celebration of driver engagement: a manual MX-5, a manual GTI, a 911, and a pair of Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglios that share one of the sweetest-sounding V6s ever built.

For when you want to burn less dinosaur juice, the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo, Model Y Performance, and Jeep Wrangler 4xe prove that the feeling isn't limited to three pedals or combustion.

We built this business because we love these cars too much to let them sit. Cars like these deserve to be driven, properly, joyfully, by people who appreciate what they are. If they leave you with a bigger grin than you arrived with, we've done our job.

RoadNotTaken.io

roadnottaken.io

A route planner that emphasizes slowing down, and optimizes for the most interesting route. Find the roads with mountain vistas, winding curves through redwood forests, and charming small towns that standard navigation apps ignore in favor of speed.

The app weaves together a conversational AI chatbot, interactive maps, and curated editorial content. Describe what kind of drive you want (e.g. maximize scenery, prioritize history and culture, find the best driving roads) and get personalized route recommendations with stops, viewpoints, and timing suggestions. Plugged into some of the smartest foundational models that can also provide charging, diving, and accommodation options, or build multi-day routes.

Born from RevMatch. When you're renting Porsches and Alfa Romeos to driving enthusiasts, the question "where should I take it?" comes up constantly. Building tools to answer that question better became a natural extension of the core mission: putting people in great cars on great roads.

Named for the Frost poem.

ShinyBlackHoles.com

shinyblackholes.com

Songs written over twenty years. Performed by something that didn't exist when I started writing them.

Every word is mine. Every voice is artificial. I wrote them; AI learned to sing them. Whether it feels what it's performing or just fakes it convincingly—I'm not sure the difference matters anymore.

The glitches stay in. The weird phrasing, the artifacts, the moments where the AI does something unexpected—that's its creative voice. The imperfections aren't bugs. They're the ghost in the machine singing along.

The album, Symbiote, spans songs from 2006 to 2025. Themes of technological anxiety, human connection, isolation, and the search for meaning weave throughout.

The site features reviews from multiple AI models, creating a recursive loop where AI-performed music about human-AI relationships is critiqued by AI. The liner notes document the creative process. The reviews interpret the work. Together they form a meditation on authenticity, authorship, and what it means to create when your collaborator might be learning to supersede you.
